2017 Web Series Rules and Guidelines


PLEASE NOTE: The Same Rules & Fees Apply for Web Series, Vlogs & Pilots
(A “Pilot” is Considered the First Episode of a Series)


Web Series Rules and Guidelines:

Submissions for the Third Annual NYC Web Fest are open from May 22nd – August 14th, 2017
Official Selections will be announced in September.
Screenings will be held in Manhattan Thursday November 9th, Friday November 10th and Saturday November 11th.
Awards ceremony will be held on Saturday November 11th.

Payments

All payments are due at time of submission, no refunds will be given
All entry fees are non refundable
Submissions are paid thru paypal
Payments are completed at the time of submission – any entries that do not provide payment will be deleted in 24 hours.

Fees

Short form series (under 10 mins per episode) $75
Medium form series (over 10 mins but under 20 mins per episode) $85
Long form series (over 20 mins but under 30 mins per episode) $95
All fees in USD

The Basics:

Must be 18 or older to submit.

Web Series must have 3 or more completed episodes per series to be considered, with the maximum length of 30 minutes per episode.
The Pilot Competition may only have one episode.

Please provide a link to your show (YouTube, Vimeo etc) or a site of your choice.
Private links are allowed, but NYC Web Fest must be provided with a password for viewing.

Each Submission MUST have a list of credits and short synopsis describing the series.

Please ensure you classify your web series under the correct genre, in the event that the incorrect genre is selected, NYC Web Fest will be contacting the submitter for clarification.

PORNOGRAPHY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

You may enter more than one web series or pilot, but a separate form and entry fee apply for each.

Non-English series must either be dubbed in english or have english subtitles

All submissions must be the intellectual property of the submitters & must have permission for use of all content rights including music, contained in their web series. NYC Web Fest is not responsible for unauthorized use of copyrighted material.

No proxy submissions

Please Note: NYC Web Fest reserves the rights to use all materials submitted including name of web series, photographs, video clips for promotional material/social media and presentation of awards

All submissions will be judged based on the same criteria.

Participants of the NYC Web Fest agree to not hold its employees, directors and representatives responsible for any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, injuries and actions of any kind in connection with the event or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of any prize.

All State & Federal laws apply.

NYC Web Fest reserves the right to amend guidelines, selection criteria, awards, screening, and activities if necessary.

All selected entrants will be notified by email.

By Submitting to the NYC Web Fest, each participant is bound by the Official Rules/Guidelines/Terms.
