The NYC Web Fest (NYCWF) has released its Official Selections for 2015.

Ninety-three web series will be screened on Nov. 13th and 14th at the PIT Loft in Manhattan. In just one year, NYCWF has established itself as the web fest to watch series’ produced by newcomers and industry heavyweights.

Shows making their festival premiere, include Colin Quinn’s “Cop Show,” Refinery 29’s “Queens of Kings,” and “Oldhead,” a gritty drama filmed in Philadelphia’s inner city. The show is written & directed by former college basketball star Tony Chennault.

The festival will close with the world premiere of the new web series “The Mentors.” Described as “A dark and comical portrayal of mentorships in the entertainment business as introduced by comedian Lewis Black,” the six-part series features hilarious appearances by veteran actors Julie Halston, Joe Grifasi, Kevin O’Rourke, and Black’s producing partner Lauren Ashley Carter.

“I couldn’t be happier than to have Mentors premiere at the NYC Web Fest.” Said Black. “Lauren Ashley Carter had a wonderful idea and it was a pleasure to produce the series, help write some of it, perform in it, and work with the many talented actors who helped bring this show to life. It will also be nice to see how a live audience reacts to the work. The audience, in the end, is the mentor.”

Toronto native Lauren Atkins founded NYCWF in 2014, along with her friend April Day, formerly of Canada’s MuchMusic Network. Atkins has since added Justin Edmead of Tdot TV, Alexandra Serio of NYCTV (formerly of VICE) and Jessica Lacombe of Blue Slate Digital, (formerly of the Tribeca Film Festival) to the jury.

The 2015 NYC Web Fest takes place November 13th & 14th at the PIT Loft. Schedule and ticket information will be released later this month. For more information go to http://www.nycwebfest.com
